I pulled Fortuna today after 3 yrs with the current Trinidad SR and added one pound of cayenne pepper for the last coat. Two full coats and a third at waterline and running gear. I could easily have gotten a fourth year. Does the cayenne make a difference-----??-- In my opinion--- yes--- but for $2.50 for a pound of cayenne, like chicken soup-- it can't hurt
